ATCHISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 7:30a.m. Wednesday in Atchison.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2007 Chevrolet HHR SUV driven by Lemeece Weston, 41, Atchison, was southbound on Hickory Street and was turning east onto Unity Street in Atchison.
The vehicle collided with an eastbound 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Dane Spilman, 16, Atchison. EMS transported An 8 year old passenger in the Chevy to Amberwell Hospital for examination. There were no other injuries reported.
Weston was cited for failure to yield, according to Wilson.
