Buddy Loren Keith
Buddy Loren Keith 84, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. He was born October 8, 1932 in Halls, MO, son of the late Gladys and Alpha Keith. He worked at Seitz Meat Packing, retiring after 27 years of service, he then worked and retired from Buchanan County after 10 years. He was a quiet and humble man who was a great husband and father, who loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, farming, and raising cows and chickens. He attended Faith United Baptist Church with his wife Patricia. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia Colleen Keith, son, Gregory Keith, brothers, Clarence and Kenneth Keith, sister in law, Eleanor Keith, and brother in law, John R Wilson. Survivors include, sons, Kenny (Melanie) Keith, Dennis (Elizabeth) Keith, and Randy (Meribeth) Keith, all of St. Joseph, MO, daughters, Amy (Shawn) Casey, Kansas City, MO, and Carrie (Erick) Adams of St. Joseph, MO, brothers, Billy (Barbara) Keith, Faucett, MO., Walter (Sandra) Keith, Roswell, GA, sisters, Frances “Fanny” (Robert) Boyer, St. Joseph, MO, Twilla “Sissy” Sauter, and Shirley Wilson, St. Joseph, nieces, Ruby Wood, and Lola Maertens-Dragoo, sister in law, Lois Keith of Blue Springs, MO. twelve grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda, Heather, Jesse, Devin, Trevor, Brittany, Katie, Dylan, Matt, Alexis, and Eli, 10 great grandchildren, David, Austin, Rafe, Lane, Carter, Huxley, Braden, Lucas, Chance and Rahelynn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. James Kerns officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Armstrong Cemetery, Rushville, MO. Michael R. Priestley
DELIA – Michael R. Priestley, 64, of Delia, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 10, 1952 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky the son of Alburton “Skip” Priestley, Jr. and Esther Grant Priestley. He graduated from Pine Forrest High School in Fayettesville, North Carolina in 1971. He attended college for one year to play football. He was an avid sports fan.
Michael served in the U.S. Army for twenty years, attaining the rank of First Sergeant. After retiring from the military he worked for nineteen years for McCall Pattern in Manhattan.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Topeka.
He married Ginny Venneberg on November 26, 2005 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Topeka. She survives, of the home.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother.
Other survivors include his father and step-mother, “Skip” and Helen Priestley, Prescott Valley, AZ; two step-daughters, Jessica Venneberg, Onaga and Ashley Venneberg, Topeka; three brothers, Alburton “Butch” Priestley, III, and Raymond Priestley, both of Greenville, SC and Duaine Priestley, Austin, TX; and four grandchildren, Marshall Brunin, Luna Brashear, Clayton Ivy and Hunter Ivy.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11th at the Sedalia Community Church near Manhattan. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a Veterans Group of the Donor’s Choice or Delia Community Pride, and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 280, Hoyt, 66440.
Gregory Scott Moore
Gregory Scott Moore, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017.
He was born October 24, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri to J.D. and Lilly (Jeffrey) Moore.
Gregory married Rebecca Elaine Knapp March 20, 2005, she survives of the home.
He poured his life into his work as a surgery nurse and prided himself as a patient advocate. Gregory was a family man and was close to his entire family, his Scottish heritage was also an important part of his life.
Gregory enjoyed playing guitar, duck hunting, riding motorcycles and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Moore; step-daughter, Missy; and sister Lillian.
Additional survivors include his mother, Lilly Moore; brother, Jeff (Nancy) Moore; stepson, Brandon (Staci) Routh; grandchildren, Shayla, Joshua, (Mary), Jaymin and Willow; nieces, Erin (Cory) Emley, Catriona (Brad) Moe; great-nieces and nephew, Lola, Asher, Skye, and Isla.

Harley E. Weigart
Harley E. Weigart, 77, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday,
July 2, 2017 at his home.
He was born April 9, 1940 in Sacramento, California to Leslie Arch
and Hester Pauline (Sherer) Weigart. The family returned to Worth County
in 1946. He graduated from Grant City High School and attended one year
of college in Maryville.
Harley began employment with the Missouri Department of
Transportation in February 1960 and was employed there for 43 years,
retiring on March 1, 2003 as a Senior Construction Inspector. He was
involved in the construction of many major highway projects in this area
including the Interstate highway system, the double deck Riverfront
Bridge and the new Missouri River Bridge.
He was married to Doris E. Combs, the mother of his children, on
May 27, 1960 in King City, Missouri and lived in the Savannah area for 32
years. They later divorced.
Harley married Mary J. (Butrick) Combs on June 8, 1996 in Bethany
Missouri. They made their home in St. Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in- law Burl
Mullock; and sister, Joan Mullock.
Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; sons, Robert Douglas
Weigart (Gina), St. Joseph, Missouri; Gregory Scott Weigart (Brenda),
Savannah, Missouri; step children, Dana Bowlin, St. Joseph, Missouri;

Betty L. (Wykert) Jeschke
Betty L. (Wykert) Jeschke, 94, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Carriage Square.
She was born December 21, 1922 in Troy, Kansas to Grover “Frank” and Maude (Dinning) Wykert.
Betty married Harold E.Jeschke August 9, 1941, he preceded her in death.
She graduated from Troy High School where she then got her first job at the court house. Betty lived in St. Joseph for most of her life. She worked at Sears for many years then later worked at the St. Joseph Trunk Company. Betty volunteered at her church, Wyatt Park Christian and also at Heartland Hospital in the gift shop.
She loved her bridge clubs.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marion Wykert; sisters, Mona Lee Cozad, Georgia Euler Gardner, and Beverly Tomlinson.
Survivors include daughters, Sharon Louise Growney, Celebration, FL, and Jeanette Marie Mollus-Ross, Kansas City, MO; son, David H. Jeschke, Garden Grove, CA; sister, Mary Frances Ratliff, Poway, CA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Glenda Sue Thompson
Glenda Sue Thompson 57, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 in Saint Joseph, MO. She was born October 9, 1959 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Ruth and William Thompson. She graduated from Central High School in 1977, and worked at the Shelter Workshop. She loved animals, and going to Krug park and feeding the ducks. She was a Christian. Glenda was preceded in death by father, William Forest Thompson, and her sister, Nancy Thompson. Survivors include, mother, Ruth Thompson, Saint Joseph, MO, brother, Wayne (Maria) Thompson, St. Louis, MO, sister, Leslie Brooks, St. Joseph, MO. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
