“Dr. Smith brings much talent and experience to our board room,” said Marty Grey, chairman of the board for the Agri-Business Expo Center. “Her background in education and her refined spirit of cooperation will serve us well.”
Dr. Smith served as superintendent of schools from the St. Joseph School District until retiring this summer. She holds a doctor of education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and specialist and master’s degrees in education from Northwest Missouri State.
In addition, she is a partner in Moss Properties, a family farm business, and Patron Insight.
She was named the YWCA Woman of Excellence in 2013 and received the Patriot Award for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
The Agri-Business Expo Center is governed by a volunteer board of directors who are leaders in the public and private sector.
