Northwest women’s tennis rolls past Lincoln, 9-0

NWMSUThe Northwest Missouri State women’s tennis team posted its second straight shutout Thursday with a 9-0 win over Lincoln in MIAA action.

The Bearcats improved to 7-5 on the season and 3-2 in league play with the win.

Northwest rolled to wins in doubles action as Gisela Font and Natalia Galindo won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles while Emily Hoffman and Stephanie Mannix claimed an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

Camila Quesada and Alexis Bartek both improved to 4-1 in conference play with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.

Quesada picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win over Alina Katrevich at No. 1 singles. Bartek also cruised in her match at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

The Bearcats return to action Friday in Tulsa against Dallas Baptist before a double dip against Arkansas-Fort Smith and Newman on Saturday.
