Pair Faces Drug Charges After Platte County Raid

Formal charges are expected this week against a man and woman drug charges in Platte County after a raid on Friday.

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office narcotics Unit served a search warrant in the 4100 block of NW 79th Terrace in Kansas City at 11am Friday.

Officials say the search resulted in the seizure of approximately 11 pounds of marijuana and various items of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was the result of a joint narcotics investigation betweeen the Platte County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.

Michelle Simpson, 40, and Jason Fordyce, 35, were both taken into custody as a result of the search warrant.

    Seriously!? Personal opinion here but its just weed! The stuff should be legal anyway and for all the people that will disagree, if u logically sit down and white pros and cons about weed the good does out weight the bad! They needa worry about catching the meth heads and low life’s who steel or hurt people!
